Chapter 1

Chapter 1 | See Yourself

Look back from the starting point, rediscover who you are

For the first time on your preset life track, stop and really look at where you've arrived.

1

Stop and See Yourself

At some point in life, we suddenly realize: we've come a long way, yet rarely stopped to truly see ourselves.

We've been pushed forward, defined by expectations, responsibilities, and roles. Who are we? What do we want? These questions seem increasingly blurry.

This chapter invites you to pause and rediscover yourself. Not to change anything, but to see — to see the overlooked parts, to see your authentic self.

2

Personality Self-Assessment

Before diving deeper, we've prepared two classic personality assessment tools for you.

These tests can help you understand your personality traits, behavioral patterns, and thinking preferences from different angles. They're not about labeling you, but providing a reference framework for better self-understanding.

You can try one or both — there are no right or wrong answers, only deeper self-awareness.

3

Career Values Assessment

In career choices, what truly matters to you? Is it financial reward, a sense of achievement, or work-life balance?

Career values are the core driver of your professional decisions. Through this assessment, you'll discover your top 14 career value orientations and ultimately lock in your 3 core values.

This exercise isn't about putting a career type label on you — it's helping you clarify what you really want in your work.

4

Social Ability Self-Assessment

Beyond personality traits and value orientations, your ability structure is another important dimension of self-understanding.

Based on McKinsey's social ability system, this assessment covers 42 core competencies across three dimensions — cognition, interpersonal, and self-management — giving you a comprehensive scan of your ability landscape.

You'll discover your strengths, potential areas, and areas for improvement — which is far more actionable than simply knowing 'I'm an INTJ' or 'I'm high in openness.'

5

My Social Roles

From birth, we've been assigned various roles: child, student, employee, parent, partner...

These roles shape us, but also limit us to some extent. We've grown accustomed to defining ourselves by our roles, forgetting that beyond them, there is still an 'I.'

This exercise helps you sort through the various roles you carry and see how much space they occupy in your life.

6

Rediscover Yourself

Through the exercises in this chapter, you may have gained new insights about yourself. These insights may be incomplete or not entirely accurate, but they are a beginning.

Self-discovery is an ongoing process, not something completed in one go. Be patient, stay curious.
